Hey Empower Network Family,
A quote to frame my thoughts for you today…
“The right to swing my fist ends where the other man’s nose begins.“
Supreme Court Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr.
Our company was founded on the belief in entrepreneurial freedom. We put the interest of our affiliates above all else. That’s something that will never change.
However, as we’ve grown and evolved, we’ve unfortunately seen some of our policies, founded in these beliefs, become abused. We’ve seen them used against those they were designed to liberate.
Because of this, effective today, we’re amending our cross-recruiting policy. The amended policy is very simple. It’s designed to continue supporting your entrepreneurial freedom:
- If you personally enroll (not a pass up) someone into Empower Network, you’re welcome to discuss any company outside of Empower Network with them. However, if you did not personally enroll that person, talking with them about other companies splits their focus. This robs the affiliate that brought them to Empower Network.
- If (after a full investigation) it’s confirmed that you’re cross-recruiting people you haven’t personally enrolled in Empower Network, you’ll be suspended without compensation for 1 month. If after that, you choose to continue cross-recruiting in this manner, we have no choice but to remove you from the community and terminate the affiliate relationship.
It’s an unpleasant reality that this amazing industry can be sullied by an unethical few. Anyone who believes that something great can be built by stealing opportunistically is simply wrong.
Empower Network is one of few companies in the industry that has grown organically. We’ve never once given out a back-room deal to a leader. And not once have we offered performance incentives for people to raid a group or company. It’s something we’ll never do.
It’s time to stand for what is right in this industry, by putting our affiliates first. We’re set on creating a community that honors entrepreneurial freedom. We will protect that freedom from those short-sighted marketers seeking to line their pockets illicitly on the hard work of others.
See You In Orlando!

1. This policy is limited to cross-recruiting into other MLM companies. This isn’t related to affiliate promotions, information products and services or products of your own.
2. This policy isn’t intended, nor will it be used to prohibit ethical marketing techniques (i.e. Email marketing, advertising, etc).
This change was made to respond to the malicious targeting of non-personally enrolled Empower members for cross recruitment.
If you have questions about whether a marketing method is acceptable, just ask us.
A good rule of thumb is if the affiliate that enrolled the person you are prospecting would view this as cross-recruiting and not simply marketing, it would be a good method to ask about.
